what we do
Buccal Studios initiative is to connect artists, students and community partners by building programs to support arts education. It is an artist/teacher run project establishing relationships and generating interest in research based or conceptual art. The intention is to educate students through different disciplines. We provide support by connecting organizations, families and educators to open source materials from museums and organizations.
We are utililizing educational resources from Art21. The program is designed to support K–12 educators in any subject area who are interested in bringing contemporary art, artists, and themes into classroom teaching and learning. We are also interested in social practice projects connecting students with educational materials from the nonprofit sectors and teaching them to become designers and advocates.
We would eventually like to connect public school students with contemporary artists through collaborative workshops and artists lectures.
